0.4 Update Patch Notes


NOTE: I have now added the patch notes onto the game project itself, so you can read it from there if you want. I will still be uploading from here though!

0.4 UPDATE

--General--

  • Ability Overhaul!!
    • Red Ability - You now fire multiple fireballs in a big volley
    • Blue Ability - Remains similar but now works more like a jetpack giving the user much more control
    • Green Ability - Completely overhauled into a magical grappling hook!! (activated by RMB.)
    • Purple Ability - remains unchanged for now but a revamp will be coming soon.
  • New Lighting System!! Some particular blocks emit light that spreads to other blocks
  • Revamped the biomes system, with caves changing as you get deeper down the chasm.
  • Added the biomes:
    • Mines
    • Verdant Forest (WIP)
    • Sulphur Caverns (WIP)
  • Added weapon animations (Placeholder)
  • The structures in the mines have been greatly improved, with large new quarries and tunnels connecting them together making it easier for you to find the mineshafts.
  • new mining selector visuals
  • Added a range of more settings, including:
  • drop down menus
  • a more refined system to enter a seed (and random seed mode)
  • screen settings & resolution slider

--Balance Changes--

  • Skeletons and Bugs have been balanced to be more challenging to play against and to feel more cohesive (they are no longer one shot kills)
  • Abilities have been reworked (see above)
  • The pickaxes mining speed has increased

--Fixes--

  • Terrain Performance Fixes

--Known Issues---

  • occasionally the terrain can bug out and you can fall through the world. Digging straight down outside the cavern can cause this issue. this will be fixed in the next patch
  • sometimes bugs and rarely skeletons get stuck in the terrain
  • the skeletons sword does not move
